Susceptibility to fragility test of red blood cell in congenital spherocytosis: an explanation based on surface area principle

Abstract

Congenital spherocytosis is a rare congenital defect with red blood cell membrane abnormality. Based on the author's previous publication on surface area principle, an explanation for the increased fragility of red blood cell in congenital spherocytosis is hereby discussed in this paper.
